5 Tie Band Hairstyles You Need To Try This Summer
'Tis the season for salty air and sun-kissed hair. Our Tie Bands are the perfect addition to your hair accessory collection. Made with the same butter soft bamboo fabric as our OG headbands but with the added bonus of being adjustable.
Unsure how to wear them? No worries, we got you. We collaborated with Wild Indie Hair Salon to show you the cutest updos and braids for your summer season. Keep reading for our 5 favorite Tie Band hairstyles so you can continue your hot girl summer looking, well...hot.
French Braid with Tie Band Accent
The beach hair of our dreams. Spruce up a basic braid by weaving a Tie Band in with the strands.
Secure the braid with an elastic and wrap the Tie Band around the hair tie to hide it. Pull out the plait and face framing pieces for an undone look. Finish with a light hairspray to tame flyaways.
Put A Bow On It
Our CEO and founder Leah looks as pretty as a doll with this cute hairstyle. Style hair half up and secure with a hair tie. Wrap the tie band and loop around into a knot. As easy as tying your shoes.
For extra volume, use a dry shampoo or texturizing spray on your roots and fluff up with your fingers.
Classic Chignon
Can't go wrong with a classic. The chignon updo is versatile and can be paired with a casual fit or a sophisticated evening out.
Section hair into three parts and secure the back section with an elastic as well as the end of the ponytail. Loop and roll the ponytail into a chignon shape and secure with pins. Twist the front sections through and add the tie band.
Finish with hairspray and voila, you are ready to take on the day.
Stylish Low Pony
Add a pop of color to a basic pony with one of our bright colored Tie Bands. If you have trouble with slipping or sliding, a Tie Band may be your new favorite accessory because you decide how tight or loose you want to style it.
P.S. Peep that Sand Mini Scrunchie. New scrunchie colors coming this Friday!
Half & Half Braid
Half up half down styles will always be trending. Why? They work with every hair type - thick, thin, curly, straight. It's an easy way to spice up an everyday look.
This style is especially doable on thick strands. Start braiding towards your crown and work down to the end. Leave a couple inches out for a 'messy' look and add your favorite colored Tie Band. Don't forget to pull out framing pieces to accentuate your face shape.
