7 Ways to Step Up Your Fall Fashion Game
1. Treat yo-self to a pair of Docs

I recently just bought my first pair of Dr. Martens. I initially went shopping for the red color (pictured above) but left the store with classic black.
The shape can be a little hard to get used to. I asked the store attendant if I looked like a clown and she said, “Oh my gosh! This is your first pair, how exciting! No, I promise you look so cute”.
I don’t even care if she was lying because these boots are so comfy and you can wear them with literally anything. The only time I’m looking like a clown is when I text my ex for closure.
2. Printed skirts

Printed or patterned midis and maxis are in.
Pair with a sweater and heels for the office, or rock it with a band tee and a braided belt for a more casual, weekend look. Don’t be afraid to mix prints or textures, it’s trendy.
(Also, peep the docs.)
3. Bell Bottoms Baby

Calling all ladies with long legs. These high-rise, vintage flare pants are perfect to accentuate your waistline and give you ‘legs for days’. We're drooling over the fall color scheme in our inspo pic.
For a Jackie Burkhart aesthetic, try a velvet pair and match it with one of our new non-slip neutral twist bands for major boho vibes.
4. Oversized Cardigans

Oversized sweaters are peak comfort. Cotton, cashmere, knit - we love them all. They are perfect to layer when that crisp air hits. Accessorize with a headband, hat, or our new Hair Tie Bracelets.
5. The Trench

Maybe it's the Scorpio in me, but this fall look is fire. The distressed denim skirt, the heeled black booties, the turtleneck??? Take my money.
But the statement piece IMO is the long, patterned coat. It adds a touch of sophistication to an otherwise casual outfit. Stick with a neutral color and dress it up or down.
Either way you will look like a model who stepped out on the street.

It's officially that time of year where you are chilly in the AM and melting in the PM.
Easiest fix? Layers. Bundle up in the morning with a jacket and scarf (look at those dreamy autumn colors above) and toss them off one by one to your comfort in the afternoon.
We adore the natural curls shown above. If you are running out of hairstyles check out our last blog post 10 Best Headband Hairstyles for some chic ideas.
7. Comfy Classic Flannel

Flannel is a signature fall fabric. It's not going out of style.
I recently admired a friend's flannel and asked where she got it. Walmart...10 years ago.
Hit up your local vintage store for a broad array of options. If you want to online shop only, check out NYC-based store The Vintage Twin for some one-of-a-kind pieces. Like us, they choose to be eco-friendly. They sell and re-create vintage finds, plus 10% of their profit goes to charity. We love to see it.
At the end of the day, fashion is subjective. Rock whatever you feel comfortable in and you're likely inspiring someone else. Trends gotta start somewhere, right? But two necessary accessories I think we can all agree on in 2020 are Soulvation Society headbands and a mask.
